Forest Sessions

Mindful exploration and wellbeing for all ages

Join me in the woods!

What are forest sessions?

We provide sessions for pregnant women, new parents and children as well as sessions just for grown ups.

Our Forest sessions are designed for people of all ages to enjoy time in nature, to slow down, breathe and enjoy the company of other like-minded people.

Nature is proven to be highly beneficial for our mental and physical health and provides abundant sensory input for young children and much needed head-space for adults. All the Forever Wild at Heart Forest Sessions are set in Woodland at Haylands Farm in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. This woodland environment is a special and safe environment to facilitate and support children’s risk-taking and play. It also allows you to reconnect with yourself, reduce stress, and increase happiness.

Connection

Our Forest Sessions is a place to connect with others, yourself, your family and nature. Many friendships are made here.

Nature

Not only is there an abundance of learning opportunities for your little ones, but nature can also teach us, the adults, about life. Like adjusting to change, being present and demonstrating gratitude.

Wellbeing

These sessions aim to impact your general wellbeing positively. Our Forest Sessions incorporate activities such as mindfulness, forest bathing and journaling.

Creativity

Getting creative helps with mindfulness; therefore, all of our sessions incorporate an element of creativity, which is nature focused.

Confidence

Increased self-confidence and self-belief come from the freedom, time, and space to learn and grow.

Mindfulness

Become present with yourself and nature. Slow down the chatter in your mind and bring yourself into the moment through your senses.

Which session is best for us?

We facilitate nature-based sessions that gently support the journey through many stages of life - from pregnancy and early motherhood (Wild Mamas), to toddlerhood (Little Wilds) and into adult-only spaces (Hammock Time and My Wild).

With specialist sessions also available in areas such as neurodiversity and trauma-informed care, we’re honoured to hold space for meaningful connection with nature, self, and others - at every step of the journey.

If you need extra support...

We recommend Walk With Me - walking therapy, combined with talk therapy, is an effective way of managing your mental health and helps you to develop coping skills and strategies to improve your wellbeing. By combining the two in a natural environment, you get a holistic approach to developing ways to reduce stress and anxiety, creating an overall positive approach to your life.

These sessions allow you to talk to a qualified counsellor in a relaxed, safe, and non-judgemental environment.
